5 top sales objections

sales objectionsIf you are a business owner there is no way that you have not had to have sales conversations with a potential client.  That’s how we make sales.  However the process is not commonly straight forward due to often having to face the client’s uncertainty.  Today I’m going to share with you the top 5 sales objections.

Why many business owners feel uncomfortable with the sales process is because it’s usually not straight forward. One of the reasons they dread the sales conversation is that they feel they will hit the brick wall of objections.

This is because they take an objection as a “NO” so they give up.

Today I want to share with you the top 5 objections you are most likely going to encounter in a sales conversation:

1. I can’t afford it
2. I need to run this by my wife / husband / business partner
3. I need to think about it
4. I don’t have time
5. I’m just researching at the moment

Are you familiar with any of these? You might be surprised that these are actually quite common excuses a potential client or customer will use in a sales conversation. You probably have used some of them yourself when you have been in the position of a client / customer.

More often though these objections are superficial and the real reasons are hidden behind them. These are what you need to discover during your sales conversation.

In a future video I will share with you the 5 real reasons of objections clients have. But for now I want you to be aware that these objections will come up during your sales conversations with a potential client and you need to be prepared as to how you plan to respond to them.

What has been your experience with your clients?  What sort of objections did you have to face?  Let me know in the comments area below.
